Saber Blog Update (12/24/21) Merry Christmas!!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS INTERNET FAMILY!!!

Merry Merry Christmas Everyone! I once again find myself up in the wee hours of the night writing today’s blog post. Hopefully Santa Paws doesn’t knock me out and drag me back to bed. I realize it’s been a couple of months since my last update, so we’ve got lots to catch up on. That’s a good thing, since it’s Christmas and you can consider this my gift.

It’s been an insane two years and unfortunately the insanity shows no signs of slowing down. I cannot believe how fast and slow this year went by. It’s one of those contradictions where it dragged on yet sped by at a million miles and hour. I want you all to remember just how blessed you are and enjoy your Holiday season. Be a gift unto the world, just as the wise men who brought their gifts unto the son of man. Be sure to shine your light. Sometimes the greatest gift is just lending an ear and being there for someone.

Speaking of gifts, here’s a fun little image I managed to put together. It’s a gift for WatchNR12 and Faros, both of whom have been great supporters and friends. They have been following me in my little corner of the internet for quite some time and it means a lot.

I just wanted to show my appreciation for their love and support. I know, there’s probably a lot of other people, saying “Hey, what am I, chopped liver?” Just realize that I appreciate each and everyone one of you and I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I know the future holds amazing things on the horizon.

Thank’s to WatchNR12, for his gift, as he presents yours truly with another giant toothbrush for my collection. Or is it a back scrub? I suppose they are always good to build a house with. Again, I greatly appreciate this and it really made my day when you sent it. This will go right in the fan gallery section of the sight for everyone to see. :)

If you have a second, go give WatchNR12 a follow.

So you may be asking yourself. What’s with the horses? Well that’s answered easily enough. These were all commissioned by Faros a couple months ago. I just never got around to talking about them. He wanted me to draw some Stallions that his family owned. I like how they turned out, so I’m showcasing them some more. Thanks again to Faros for the opportunity to draw these beautiful creatures.

A Late Thanksgiving Image.

I posted this on Thanksgiving day, but since I’ve been behind on the blog, I just thought I’d post it again. One of my favorite characters from the Hanna Barbera classic, The Thanksgiving That Almost Wasn’t. So enjoy some Jeremy Squirrel.

I used to look forward to watching this every year, when it would air on Cartoon Network. I recently rediscovered it, and have been making it a point to continue that tradition. I do recommend it if you’ve never seen it.

What’s this? OwO

Could it be that I still have more to share? …Indeed!

Ok, so the first image here is probably recognizable for a great many people. I, like many children who grew up in the 90’s to early 2000’s fell in love with the show Kim Possible. If you don’t know who the green chick with the glowing hands is, her name is Shego. Not only is she one of my all time favorite badass super villains, but she’s just plain hilarious as a character.

Image number two is another blast from the past. If you don’t recognize her, shame on you. How dare you never watch Tiny Toon Adventures. Yes, it’s Fifi La Fume. My favorite skunkette. Well, I guess you could call this one an adult version of her since she’s technically young in the show. But let’s be honest, that show and her character were geared more for adults.

The final image answers the age old question of what does a female Light Lux Collie look like? Well…here ya go. It’s actually not the first time I’ve drawn a female Light, but It’s definitely much better than my last attempt. I do think he looks good as the fairer sex. What do you think?

Ok, I’ve saved the best for last!

I had made this a couple months ago, but again, do to my tardiness on the blog, not many people may have seen it. Unless perhaps you signed up for the weekly newsletter. If you didn’t, THEN WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?! Sign Up

Anyways, this is a short and sweet two second animation featuring Fritz and Serenity from Comic-Comic. Now usually Serenity would have white polka dots on her dress, but I opted not to include them in this, since it was kind of a pain.

It’s funny, I remember something the great Don Bluth once told me and my class regarding the guys who worked on 101 Dalmatians. They pretty much wanted to kill themselves by the time the production of the movie was over. Having to draw and redraw all those spots in the same relative areas over and over and over again is enough to drive anyone mad.

Well, there you have it. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got a boat load of Christmas specials to go watch and I need to put milkbones and bacon out for Santa Paws. So I’ll leave you with this. Enjoy your Christmas and your New Years. I wish you much love, peace and a wonderful 2022 ahead. It may start off shaky and it may look dark, but I have a feeling that 2022 is going to end up being a fantastic year. Just stay strong, look up, and no matter what happens keep moving forward. Until next time,

Woof!
